Valentine's Day: Natural Rose-Infused Skin and Beauty Products You're Going to LOVE!
Happy Sunday, Everyone! I just got back from ShiftCon (I left a day early to see my Grandma), which was AMAZING, informative, and so inspiring, that I felt the need to write this post! I'll be doing a ShiftCon recap later this week so stay tuned for that!

Since February is deemed the "month of love" and I happen to be sipping on my favorite rose tea, I figured I would share with you my favorite rose-infused natural products that I actually use year-round. BUT, since everyone seems to obsess over roses in February, I'd thought I'd share the love this month ❤️🌹.
Besides being a beautiful flower with an invigorating scent, rose actually has many health benefits ranging from promoting healthy skin and elevating mood, to having antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Rose may even potentially boost the libido. The Greeks were the ones to cultivate roses, and the word 'rosa' actually stems (no pun intended) from the Greek word rodon, meaning red. The roses used by the Greeks was a deep crimson color. The Romans then became obsessed with roses, which were used to cover floors, fill baths with petals, and were even scattered at feasts and beneath chariot wheels. Rose water was first discovered by the Persian Polymath Avicenna in the 10th century, while the oil of rose was discovered sometime between 1582 and 1612. [1]
Now, onto my favorite natural rose-infused products!
I originally received this lip polish in a subscription box and absolutely loved it. A little goes a long way and it smells so strongly of rose. The clean ingredients leave your lips kissably soft and moisturized!
Another product that I have previously received in a subscription box (Goodbeing ROCKS, BTW). Pangea Organics seriously has the most luxurious lip balm that I have EVER tried, and I've been a lip balm junkie since the 5th grade! The rose scent is subtle but perfect. Their other scents are lovely as well. Infused with a mixture of nourishing oils and butters such as tamanu, jojoba, and shea, this lip balm is extremely nourishing and lasts longer than the average balm. Also, these tubes are much larger as well, so the tube lasts really long as well!
I hadn't tried Vapour products until relatively recently, but they have a cult following. Made with all natural ingredients, all of their products that I have tried continue to impress me (LOVE their primers). I'm not a huge lipstick or gloss fan, but I do fancy a bit of red for a special occasion. This Siren Lipstick is infused with pomegranate and rose for the perfect pop of color for just that!
Okay, so, I have a confession. Not only am I a lip balm junkie, I'm a SERIOUS oil junkie as well. I apply various oils to my face and body all day long, and I even use the oil cleansing method to wash my face a few times a week, as well as for the first step in a two-part cleanse if I feel I need the extra boost. That's where this oil comes in. Made with a blend of rose-infused Argan and Jojoba oils, this oil smells lovely and is the perfect way to end the day! I use it to take off my mascara daily, and when oil cleansing, I use a pump or two and massage it into my face for about a minute and then place a warm wash cloth on my face two to three times to cleanse my skin. It never feels oily and is GREAT for acne-prone skin. Oh, and it lasts forever as well!
This is one of my favorite products, EVER. If you're ever in New Mexico, YOU MUST GO TO OJO CALIENTE MINERAL SPRINGS RESORT AND SPA! When my Mom lived in Santa Fe, we would go almost every time I came to visit. Ojo is such a special, sacred place that utilizes natural mineral springs waters from the local area that has been used by Native Americans for hundreds of years. They are the only hot springs spa in the world with four different types of mineral waters. It's amazing! They have an iron pool lined with pebbles. It's amazing. Why is this relevant? Well, this toner is made with the soda water from their springs! It is truly divine. You can buy it in their gift shop OR ONLINE!!!
Whenever I am out of the Ojo toner, Thayer's is my second favorite! Rose-infuse witch hazel packs a nice anti-inflammatory punch. This bottle lasts FOREVER and works wonders for basically every type of skin. It helps with redness and irritation, is hydrating, is a great way to minimize your pores after a hot shower. Love, love, love it!
This serum holds a special place in my heart. This was one of the first natural rose-infused green beauty products that I stumbled upon years ago, and it is seriously the most divine thing I have ever put on my face. It is made with prickly pear seed oil, argan oil, and rose oil. THAT'S IT! Prickly pear works wonders for skin imperfections such as fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots. It makes your skin glow, so, if you can splurge on it, DO IT. Side note: I met the founder a few years ago at A Night For Green Beauty, and she is SO kind! Her line blew up after that and has now expanded! Check it out!
Does anyone else love balms? Cause I do! Not only do I love balms, I love the balms and so many other products by Badger! They have wellness balms and salves as well that work wonders (Helloooo, Aromatic Chest Rub aka the clean version of Vicks Vapour Rub. Anyways, this balm smells strongly of rose, and is amazing for problem areas that need a little bit more moisture. If you live in a dryer climate, or it tends to be colder, this balm is perfect for you! It's also great for sensitive skin.
Last but not least, because beauty starts from the inside and I was inspired to do this post because of this tea, I share with you my absolute favorite rose tea by Organic India, their Tulsi Rose Tea!
